1. by physical form

Powdered activated carbon Made from sawdust.
Granular activated carbon Generally in the shape of cylinder, sphere, pallet, etc.
Pallet Activated Carbon Coconut activated carbon and coal activated carbon. Irregularly shaped.
Spherical activated carbon Materials are spherically pre-shaped before carbonization.
Fibrous activated carbon Made from fibrous materials.


2. by fabrication method
Chemical-activated carbon Activated by zinc chloride, phosphoric acid, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, etc.
